The Portillo International Festival Music Academy is held each year at the iconic Hotel Ski Portillo, high in the Andean mountains of Chile, right on the border with Argentina.

The Portillo Festival Academy was designed to provide young talent from Latin America and the world with the opportunity to enter an ecosystem of excellence, studying with some of the world's best chamber musicians, such as the American String Quartet. Each year, fifty-two scholarship students from up to 10 countries in the region have revealed their dreams and talents to their teachers and colleagues, their patrons and audiences and, most importantly, to themselves.
