HOW TO SUPPORT THE PORTILLO INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL& ACADEMY?

 

The Portillo International Music Festival&Academy  is held each year at the iconic Hotel Ski Portillo, high in the Andean mountains of Chile, right on the border with Argentina.
The Portillo Festival Academy was designed to provide young talents from Latin America and the world with the opportunity to enter an ecosystem of excellence, studying with some of the world's best chamber musicians, such as the American String Quartet. Each year, scholarship recipients from different countries have revealed their dreams and talents to their teachers and colleagues, their patrons and audiences and, most importantly, to themselves.

This year we will have 57 scholarship recipients with a full scholarship which includes: classes, accommodation, meals and local transport. The approximate value of each scholarship is $4.800.000.

1. Friends&Music

FRIENDS&MUSIC,

Is a group of friends... collaborators... dreamers who feel and think they can make a difference in the lives of young people. In addition to creating a community of "friends" that nurtures itself, in which music and the desire to "do good" is a driving force in their own lives.

The objective is to collaborate annually with the academy of the Portillo International Music Festival&Academy with USD1000 per year ($900.000 Chilean pesos), which will go towards sponsoring full scholarships for the young people who are part of the festival each year. Today, more than ever, in a world that seems to be increasingly divided by ideology, politics, race, dogma, war and climate crisis, music has a powerful and relevant role to play in overcoming these divisions and bringing hope and healing to humanity. These young musicians will be grateful for this opportunity that will transform their lives musically and awaken and fill their souls with beauty.

2. Book your music program

With stays from 1, 2 to 8 nights Portillo will offer programmes that combine mountain adventure with concerts, master classes, dance, philosophical evenings, exploratory campfires, trekking, kayaking and yoga.
